Store Qualifiers Fact Sheet

FORMAT
  • Standard Constructed, or Sealed.
  • In the sealed tournament, the single elimination must be sealed (Draft cannot be held).
  • This event must be BO3. This event cannot be held in BO1.
GUIDELINES
  • WPN stores in Japan and Korea can hold 2 qualifiers during the same round.
  • WPN stores in the Kanto region (Tokyo, Kanagawa, Chiba, and Saitama prefectures) may hold an additional 1 qualifier during the same round.
  • WPN Premium Store can be held one additional time during same round. (A total of 3 events can be held. However, the maximum number of WPN Premium stores in the Kanto region is 3).
  • If multiple qualifiers are held, they can't be held same days.
  • This event cannot be applied in odd numbers.
STRUCTURE
  • Decklists are NOT required.
  • 6 players are required.If there are less than 5 players, the event will be canceled.
  • Modified Swiss-style (50 minutes for each round)
  • For the first game of each match in the plyoff, the player that finished higher in the swiss rounds chooses either to play first or to play second. For subsequent games in each playpff, the usual Play/Draw rule applies (loser of the previous game decides whether to play first in the next game).
  • The number of rounds must be done according to the number of participants. The number of rounds cannot be increased or decreased. The number of rounds is as follows

ELIGIBILITY
  • No eligibility is required.
Notes
  • Rules Enforcement Level (REL) is Regular.
  • “The Magic: The Gathering Tournament Rules” and “The Magic: The Gathering Judging at Regular REL” are in effect for this event unless specifically overruled by information in this Format Document. Rules documents can be found in the Magic Document Center.
  • Players are responsible for bringing their own method of tracking life totals, card sleeves, and appropriate counters or tokens.

  • Top players will receive invitation for Area Qualifier depending on the participants.
  • Top players will take top finishers promo.

If a player has already been invited to the Champions' Cup Area Qualifiers/Champions' Cup Finals this season, the invitations to the area qualifiers at this event will be passed down.

Details are as follows;

9-16 playersPass down to TOP 4. It's depending of the final standing after single elimination round 1.
17-64 playersPass down to TOP 4. It's depending of the final standing after single elimination round 2.

* If there are -64players, the invitations will be passed down to the remaining players in the single elimination.
