- Q.When does the qualifier season begin?
- A.Cycle 1 of the Champions Cup will begin its qualifier season in the first week of July. The first Champions Final will be held in November 2022 at Aichi Sky Expo (Aichi, Japan).
- Q.What does the term Cycle 1 mean?
- A.The year 2022 - 2023 will feature three Champions Cup Finals, with one season divided into three one-year "cycles." It is called.
- Q.When will information about the Pro Tour and World Championship be released?
- A.More details on the Pro Tour and World Championship will be announced by Wizards of the Coast as the event approaches.
- Q.Do I need proof of vaccination or a mask to attend the event?
- A.Please follow the policies of each organizer and local government.
- Q.What format is used?
- A.Cycle 1 store qualifiers will be held in Pioneer, Standard, Pioneer, Modern, and Sealed; Cycle 1 Area Qualifiers, Premium Qualifiers, Last Chance Trials and Champions Cup Finals will be held in Pioneer. After that, the plan is to incorporate Modern and Standard.
- Q.Will MPL/Rivals members be invited to the Champions Cup Finals?
- A.Players in the MPL/Rivals (2021-2022 season, living in Japan) will be invited to the (3) Champions Cup Finals in the 2022-2023 season.
- Q.Will there be promo cards available for each qualifier?
- A.Prepared by. The distribution will vary depending on the type of qualifier and the number of participants.
- Q.If I pass the Japan/Korea Area Qualifier or Premium Qualifier, do I have to compete in the Japan/Korea Regional Qualifier (Champions Cup Finals)?
- A.Yes, if you pass the Area Qualifier and Premium Qualifier in Japan and Korea, you will be required to participate in the Regional Qualifier (Champions Cup) in Japan and Korea. If you wish to participate in a regional qualifier outside of Japan and Korea, you must pass the qualifier for that region.
- Q.How much does it entry fee to participate in each qualifier?
- A.Varies depending on the type of qualifier and the host store.
- Q.What is the minimum number of participants for the store qualifier?
- A.The number of participants is 8. If there are less than 7 participants, the tournament will not be held.
- Q.How many players can advance from the store qualifiers to the area qualifiers?
- A.The top two finishers from each store qualifier will advance to the Area Qualifier. (Cycle 1)
- Q.Can I participate in the store qualifier if I already have the right to participate in the area qualifier?
- A.Participation is possible.
In the event that you are within the area of the Area Qualifiers, your rights and all associated prizes (including promos) will be moved down. - Q.I have won the rights to the Pro Tour and World Championships. Will I be reimbursed for travel expenses?
- A.Travel and lodging expenses are the responsibility of the player.
